Obituary

LENNART, Joseph was born in Tulsa, OK on August 23, 1946. He passed away Saturday, July 26 in Tahlequah, OK. Joseph was married to the love of his life, Yolanda Nava Lennart for 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Yolanda Lennart; his daughters, Katherine Lennart of Tulsa, and Erin Lennart of Mustang, OK.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Alexis Lennart.
Joseph graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1964 and continued his education at Oklahoma State University and graduated from the University of Tulsa, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics in 1969 and went to work for Smith Company. He continued his education at the University of Tulsa with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting in 1974. After obtaining his CPA license in 1974, he took a position with Hurdman and Cranston and later Arthur Young.
In 1981 he received his JD from the University of Tulsa in the top ten of his graduating class. He joined the firm Chapel Wilkinson, now the firm of Riggs Abney. He has been with the firm for 25 years having served as president for 13 years. He was currently the CFO of the firm. He also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Tulsa.
Joseph was an avid sailor, motorcycle enthusiast, model railroader, and accomplished musician. He was a brew master and certified sea captain. Joseph was a member of MENSA and served in the Army Reserves.
