Joseph Anthony Rodriquez
Joe Rodriquez, 77, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on January 25, 2018.
Joe was born March 19, 1940, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Mike and Carol (Aguiniga) Rodriquez. He served his country in the Marine Corps. He was proud to be a Marine, enjoyed golfing and dancing.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, his sister Lola McDonald, and son-in-law Harry Hobbs.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Virginia Rodriquez and family Michael (Julia) Rodriquez [Alex Rodriquez, Zach Rodriquez, Nathan Rodriquez], Stephen (Tammy) Rodriquez [Shane (Marin) Reed, Tonya (Ryan) Miller, Nathan (Lindsey) Veach, Skye Rodriquez, Lydia (Lucas) O'Dougherty, Joshua Rodriquez], Lori (Steve) Swartslander [Tera (Jackson) Williams, Megan (Steve) Swartslander], Jeff (Vanessa) Myers [Tyler (Jamie) Elson, Jared Elson, Tanner Myers], Theresa Hobbs [Jason Gronstal, Nathan (Desirae) Gronstall, Adam Hobbs, Kara (Kyle) Niedermeier], Mona Rodriquez, Tim (Shannon) McDonald, as well as great-nieces, great-grandchildren and friends.
A memorial service will be held at the Urbandale American Legion Hall on Cinco de Mayo, Saturday, May 5, 2018. Family will be present at 1:30 p.m. with the service starting at 2:00 p.m. The Urbandale American Legion Hall is located at 6805 Douglas Avenue, Urbandale, Iowa 50322.
