Joshua Belle Fletcher, III was born on an Easter Sunday, April 21, 1957 in Ashland City, Tennessee, at the Ashland City Hospital. He was the youngest child of Joshua Belle Fletcher, Jr. and Thula Lois Dyer Fletcher.
He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church. He attended churches in Manchester, Tennessee; Pelham, Tennessee; Guymon, Oklahoma; Holdenville, Oklahoma; and Northside as well as Airport in Tulsa.
Joshua was preceded in death by his father, Joshua Belle Fletcher, Jr.; his paternal grandparents, Joshua Belle Fletcher, Sr. and Lula Pearl McCullough Fletcher; his maternal grandparents, Jesse James Dyer and Laura Myrtle Poston Hubbard; and several uncles, aunts, and three first cousins.
Joshua graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa County and attended, shortly, Randall College in Moore, Oklahoma.
Joshua worked at a variety of jobs during his early years. During the last several years he operated Fletcher Bail Bonds on 11th Street. He loved his business and his work.
In the early evening of June 11, Joshua finally won his long battle with his illnesses. He went to a place much better than our current one. He is survived by his son, Joshua Brian Roper and his wife Tammy of Tulsa; three grandchildren, Gaige, Gabriel, and Garrison; his mother, Thula Dyer Fletcher of Memphis; his sister, Judy Fletcher-Childress, and her husband Fulton of Memphis, TN.; two nieces, Laura Beth Clenney of Dallas, TX and Cari Leigh Murray of Tahlequah; one nephew, Trevor Chase and his wife Christie of Midlothian, TX; and six grand nieces and nephews, Skyler, Avery, Chayse, and Wesley Clenney of Midlothian and Miles and Liam Murray of Tahlequah, OK. They all loved him dearly and will miss his pranks, hugs, and laughter.
