Joyce F. Anderson, 79, of Broken Arrow, OK went home to be with the Lord July 6, 2021. Joyce was born in Fredonia, KS on June 18th, 1942, to Estel and Emma Bennett.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dennis Walker (April 1979) and her husband, John Anderson (January 2012), sister Naomi Garber, brother Curtis Bennett, and brother-in-law Terry Boyer. She is survived by 5 brothers - Robert Bennett (Kay), Warren Bennett (Elaine), Leonard Bennett (Barbara), Lawrence Bennett (Ann), and Vern Bennett; 4 sisters - Lena Cunningham (Randy), Linda Boyer, Lola Shoemake (Mike), and Carolyn Davidson (Lysle); a stepson - Johnny Lee Anderson Jr (Chris) of Okmulgee; 2 stepdaughters - Patricia Hurd (Michael) of Bartlesville and Rochelle LeMaster (Bobby) of Bartlesville; grandchildren Michael Wesley Hurd Jr (Kadrian), Monique Jones (Eric Heller), Talbott LeMaster (Whitney), Gracie Reid (Tate), Johnathan LeMaster (Claire), Johnny Lee Anderson III (Kristen Johnson); and 11 great grandchildren. Others, including nieces and nephews impacted by her life, are too numerous to list but were all dearly loved by Joyce.
Joyce was a graduate of Altoona High School and after graduation worked at the Fredonia Cooperative Grain Company. During her career at the Fredonia Co-op, Joyce managed to obtain a pilot's license, learn music to become a church pianist, and teach Sunday school. After moving to Tulsa, Joyce's career was in oil and gas industry accounting. While working full-time, Joyce earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Tulsa, as well as getting her CPA license.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 9th, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 9350 East 51st, Tulsa, OK 74145. Funeral Services will be Saturday, July 10th, at 10:00 AM at Florence Street Baptist Church, 200 W. Florence Street, Broken Arrow, OK 74011. Burial will also be Saturday, at the Fredonia Kansas Cemetery at 2:30 PM.
