Obituary
COMPTON, Joyce Elaine, 66, of Owasso, OK, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at M.D. Anderson in Houston, TX.
She was born December 13, 1949 in Stroud, OK to Virgil Melvin Ashford & Lorine Laverne Hodge.
Joyce attended Life Church in Owasso; and worked for OG&E for many years before owning and operating her own retail store.
She is preceded in death by her parents. Survived by husband, Micheal Compton of the home; two daughters, Amanda (Rusty) Walker of Claremore, OK, and Nikki (Shane Ornelas) Compton of Wichita, KS; five grandchildren, Ericka Walker, Caleb Walker, Isaac Ornelas, Abby Jo Walker, and Carly Elaine Walker; brother, Melvin Ashford; two sisters, Donna Dundee and Carol Hitchcock; fourteen nieces and nephews; fifteen great-nieces and great-nephews; one great-great-niece.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 500 N. Broadway Avenue, #250, Oklahoma City, OK 73102.
Service will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. There will be a private family interment at Davenport Cemetery, Davenport, OK. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233 share memories at www.moorefuneral.com
