Joyce Lee Posten was born February 7, 1945, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She graduated from Nathan Hale High School class of 1963. Joyce was an avid animal lover and game player.

Two of her favorite activities were to play a game of cards with her grandchildren and solitaire on her computer. Joyce often embarked on trips to the beach where driving dune buggies across the sand brought her joy. She loved to paint and do puzzles; her office was filled with handmade crafts.

She left this mortal realm on August 16, 2024, after a long battle with dementia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul C. & Thelma Juanitta Withers. She is survived by her partner Dennis Palmer; daughter Carla Renee Collins and her husband Ralph; grandchildren Michael Collins, his wife Patsy, Theresa Collins, Matthew Collins, Mary Collins; great-grandchildren Maxwell, Jackson, and Scarlett; brother Dr. William C. Withers and wife Virginia; niece Vanessa Rodgers and husband Brian and their children, niece Courtney D'Archangleo and husband Dave and their children
