Richardson, Joyce (Woods), 78, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015.

Joyce was born January 19, 1937 to W. D. & Irene (Patterson) Woods in Muskogee, OK. The family moved to Tulsa when Joyce was a baby. After finishing high school at Tulsa Central in 1955, Joyce had one semester at The University of Tulsa before she met and married Richard Richardson. They were married August 25, 1956. She was a stay-at-home mom until their two sons were in high school.

She then earned her real estate license and worked in residential real estate for the Gordona Duca Realty Co. for many years. Joyce loved her family and friends. She and her husband enjoyed playing bridge, gin rummy and almost any other game that engaged her competitive spirit. All of her life she gave back to her beloved community of Tulsa, working and holding various offices with Cerebral Palsy Org., The Assistance League, and The Tulsa Mrs. Club (an offshoot of the Tulsa's Men's Club). She served as president of both her son's PTA organizations. She enjoyed and performed in many of the Red Glove Revues over the years.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Richard; son, Rusty Richardson,Tulsa, OK.; son, Michael Richardson and his husband, Julio Gonzalez, Dallas, TX.; granddaughter, Asha Richardson, Tulsa, OK.; sister, Ruth Faller, Tulsa, OK.; and nephew, Randy Moses, Waco, TX.
