Joyce Eileen Williams Wood

Joyce Eileen Williams Wood, 85, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025. She was born on August 18, 1939, in Cushing, Oklahoma, and grew up in Norfolk, Oklahoma. Joyce graduated from high school and went on to attend Oklahoma State University.
On June 16, 1962, she married the love of her life, Leonard Wade Wood, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. They shared a devoted marriage of more than 62 years until Leonard's passing on January 6, 2025.
Joyce retired in 2001 after a dedicated 30-year career with ONG/Oneok. She lived with her family in the Cleveland, Catoosa, and Tulsa (Berryhill) areas, where she built a life centered around faith, family, and hard work. Despite working full-time, Joyce always ensured her family had a warm dinner on the table and never missed a single event her children participated in. She was always there to support her husband and children with whatever they might need, offering her love, strength, and unwavering presence.
She was a passionate traveler and loved exploring the world with her family. Joyce also had a lifelong love for horses and the outdoors, spending countless hours riding and working on the family ranch-a place that brought her great peace and joy.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie F. and Gladys Viola Williams, her beloved husband, Leonard W. Wood, and her grandson, Dillion James Scrivner.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly L Scrivner; her son, Leonard L. Wood; and her grandson, Zachery Scrivner. Her brother Gene Williams and Bob Williams and his wife Darlene Williams. Her Sister-in-law Sandra Blair and her husband Doug Blair.
She will be remembered for her strength, grace, and unwavering devotion to her family.
A celebration of her life will be held May 15, 2025, at 11:00 at the Methodist Church in Yale, OK.
