KONKLER, Juanita went to her Heavenly Home on July 23, 2018 at the age of 90. Born Juanita Faye Nelson on November 6, 1927 to Raymon and Nancy Nelson in Amarillo, TX.
Married at 17 to Harry Doyle Konkler on February 9, 1945. They made their home in Tulsa where she was a loving homemaker raising four children. She began working for Tulsa Public Schools as a cafeteria worker when her husband suddenly passed away in 1967. She never remarried but spent her time caring for her family, friends, neighbors and others in need.
Her love for her Lord Jesus was apparent as she served Him for so many years at Sheridan Road Baptist Church caring for babies in the nursery.
Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Sidney Nelson and Willie Nelson; husband, Harry Konkler, infant son, Richard Dale Konkler, and daughter, Donna Gayle Konkler.
Survived by her children, Gene Konkler and wife, Terry, Gerald Konkler and wife, Jane, Nancy Hearn and Husband, David; sister, Mary Jane Dormier; brother Bobby Nelson and wife, Kay; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Oh, how she loved her family!
Visitation with family Wednesday, July 25, 2018 6-8PM at Moore's Southlawn. Funeral service will be Thursday, July 26, 2018, 10:00 A.M. at Moore's Southlawn Chapel with interment to follow at Floral Haven Cemetery.
