Judith Anne Haney

Judith Anne Haney passed away on May 30, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on October 30, 1938, she leaves behind a legacy of quiet strength, kindness, and service.
Judy was predeceased by her husband, James Haney; her mother, Leona Jackson; and her brother, John "Mac" McCormick. She is survived by her son, James "Steve" Haney; daughter, Karen Layton (George); sister, Patricia Glover; niece, Terri Guinn; and nephews, Todd Guinn, Mike McCormick, and Ricky Earp.
Judy dedicated much of her professional life to bookkeeping in residential and commercial real estate. Her meticulous attention to detail and strong work ethic earned her deep respect among colleagues.
A spiritual woman of deep faith, Judy attended & volunteered at Woodlake/Capitol Hill Assembly of God for many years. She loved decorating her home & hosting gatherings for church friends & family, creating warm & welcoming occasions that reflected her generous spirit. Her compassion & advocacy extended to her work with the Tulsa Alliance for Mental Illness (TAMI), the National Alliance for Mental Illness of Oklahoma (NAMI), and served as a board member of Eastern State Hospital.
Judy's creativity shone through her many hobbies, including playing piano, sewing, cooking (especially desserts), collecting dolls, toys, & antiques, crafting, & so much more. Though reserved, she expressed her love through countless acts of generosity & support for her children. Singing hymns with her husband James was among her greatest joys, reflecting their close partnership.
Judy will be remembered for her kind yet strong spirit, creative talents, and unwavering devotion to God, family & community.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Judy's remarkable life and the many ways she touched those around her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Private Interment: Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.
