On Sunday evening, May 3rd, 2020, Julianne Gentry, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, in-law, and friend, passed away at the age of 70. Juli bravely fought cancer for four years, providing her loved ones with additional years to enjoy her loving presence. Juli was born on August 16, 1949 in Tulsa, OK to Preston and Dana (Carman) Davis. She graduated from Will Rogers HS in 1967 and attended Tulsa University. On May 24, 1969 she married James Allen Gentry. They raised two sons, Jeff and Josh, and created a beloved community that centered on the Gentry, Davis, and Holland families and overflowed with love for many friends who became chosen family. Juli had the gift of gab, gorgeous beautiful smile, and an infectious enthusiasm for life. Whether working in Human Resources at Sunoco, serving as a scorekeeper/dugout mom for Jeff and Josh's baseball teams, having lunch with her Birthday Club Girls, or planning another trip to see her grandchildren, Juli was always loving and lit up by others. On May 24th, 2019 Juli celebrated 50 years of marriage to Jim, and many family and friends gathered to celebrate a romance that brought life and joy to so many. Juli's passions included the St. Louis Cardinals, crafting with her friend Susan, and a completely full social calendar. Juli was preceded in death by son Josh and daughter-in-law Kristal, parents Pep and Dana Davis, grandparents, Ellsworth and Margaret Carman, Clifford and Tommie Faye Davis, and in-laws James and Juanita Gentry. She is survived by husband Jim, son Jeff, daughter-in-law Kellie, grandchildren Preston and Lydian, her sister/best friend Bethalee and her husband Ron, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and adopted family.Due to the Covid 19 Juli's service will be different but still most loving. Visitation will be rearranged slightly. She will be at Moore's Funeral Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st St, Tulsa, Ok. Wednesday, May 6 from 12-6:30pm for personal viewing. Masks recommended but not required.
