On Monday, May 3, 2021, Julia Ann Ford, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, left Tulsa, OK and entered her eternal home in heaven.
Julia was born on June 1, 1952 in Okemah, OK. She grew up in Jenks, OK with her parents Daphine Mae (Newman) and Edward Neal Dooly, along with siblings Arthela, James and Tom. Julia graduated from Jenks high school in 1970.
Julia was married on December 3, 1971 to her sweetheart Robert E Ford. During their marriage Bob joined the Navy and they lived all across the United States growing their family, with sons Rob and Jeremy and daughter Amy. Julia was an active member of every church they attended, most recently Braden Park Baptist Church in Tulsa where she started a women's Sunday school class. Loving people and seeing them where they are was her life's work. She might meet you as a stranger but you would leave as her friend, or even welcomed into her extended family. She playfully said she was "just going around splashing living water everywhere I go." Spreading the good news of Jesus was of utmost importance.
Julia enjoyed time outside with her flowers, spoiling her grandchildren and children, women's retreats with her sisters-in-law, her daughters and her friends. She loved going for drives with Bob to watch the leaves change season to season. She lived her life with 2 mottos, "Family is Best" and when asked how her day was she would always respond "I'm living the dream!" And today she truly is, because she is with her savior Christ Jesus.
Julia is survived by her husband of 49 years Robert Ford; Her children Robert and Mirandy Ford of Mounds, OK, Jeremy and Katherine Ford of Yukon, OK, and Amy and Charles Jacobs of Mustang, OK; her 12 grandchildren James, Allison, Benjamin, Avery, Andrew, Samuel, Addison, Tyson, Prudence, Lynlea, Cadence and Joseph; one great-grandson Ronin; her brothers James and his wife Donna of Sapulpa, OK, and Tom and his wife Anna of Claremore, OK; her mother-in-law Lydia Ford of Tulsa, OK; and many cousins, numerous nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Arthela Legg.
