Julia Ruth Johnson, 76, of Tulsa, OK, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 1977, at Skyline Terrace Nursing Home, Tulsa, OK. She was born on Thursday, September 27, 1900, in Summers, Washington County, AR, to Daniel Parkhurst and Maggie (Gupton) Parkhurst. Julia was a homemaker, married to Clyde William Johnson. She is survived by 5 daughters, Mrs. Lavonne Millard and her husband, C. Millard of Tulsa, OK, Mrs. Genevieve D. Roland and her husband, Bob of Sharpsville, PA, Mrs. June Holland and her husband, Don of LaMirada, CA, Mrs. Marjorie Nash of Buena Park, CA, and Mrs. Ruth Gordon of Las Vegas, NV; 16 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Rena Owings of Tulsa, OK; 3 brothers, Tom Parkhurst of Commerce, OK, Jess Parkhurst of Bristow, OK, and George Parkhurst of Seminole, OK; many nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband. Julia will be greatly missed in the days ahead, but her spirit and memories will live on within each of us, because we were privileged to have her in our lives.
