Karen Elizabeth Hutchinson was born on December 5,1961 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Martin and Mildred Wyatt. On Sunday morning, December 27, 2020, Karen passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Karen grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma with her parents and 3 siblings.
Karen grew up as the youngest of 4 children. She was known to be spunky and ornery growing up. She attended and graduated from Bishop Kelly High School. Karen went on to have her children Natasha and Nathan while being a stay-at-home mom for several years. She began working at St. John Medical Center in 1996 as a Central Processing Technician. She loved her job and the numerous friendships she made while working. Karen worked at the hospital until 2012 when she "retired".
Karen met Max Hutchinson while working at St. John's. They married on November 22, 2005 surrounded by parents, children, and friends in a small ceremony. They together raised their 4 children: Natasha, Destyn, Nathan, and Cody. Together they enjoyed being outdoors and traveling.
One of Karen's greatest joys and accomplishments in life was being a Nana. She began to help with her grandsons full time when Jaxon was born in 2012 and continued with this until he went to school. Karen was the best Nana and loved all four of her grandchildren more than anything, and they in return loved her and was their favorite person.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Mildred Wyatt; mother and father in-law Ronald and Barbara Hutchinson. She is survived by her husband Max of Owasso, OK; daughter Natasha Wolf and fiance Nathan Ivy of Tulsa, OK; son Nathan Smith of Owasso, OK; son Cody Hutchinson of Owasso, OK; daughter Destyn Lewis and husband Trent of Owasso, OK; grandchildren Peyton Wolf, Dylan Wolf, Jaxon Wolf, and Ryann Lewis, sisters Martha and Judy Wyatt, and brother Chris Wyatt and wife Judith; as well as many other family and friends.
Karen was loved by all that knew her and she will be deeply missed. She leaves a lasting imprint that will not soon be forgotten with the many memories and lessons she shared. We are left with the peace that she is no longer suffering or confused but in Heaven surrounded by loved ones.
