Obituary

Let me introduce you to Karen Kay Mahaffey, born to Lester Leon and Mary Elizabeth Mahaffey, on September 2, 1942, in Enid, Oklahoma
Do you remember her smile? Her Oklahoma smile. Every time she smiled, you couldn't help but smile back.
Can you hear her laugh? That laugh, the sweetness of her laugh, was contagious. Imagine this, all of us sitting around her brothers' bar, and somebody made a funny. Karen starts to laugh and we all crack up laughing.
She traveled everywhere. Have you ever thought about traveling with her? Pick a place and she's ready to go.
Have you rode down Route 66? Ever done that on a Harley? Karen did.
She had family all across this nation. She was family rich! Karen left her home family at home and always looked forward to snuggles, purrs, and an occasional meow when she got back. PURRFECT!
Ever wonder in awe of her softness? Her softness complimented her toughness. The toughness came from her life. But her softness came from the light in her soul.
Karen loved TOPS and her TOPS family. Do you know TOPS? Google It, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
What does 49 years say to you? A long time no doubt. A lifetime of memories and friendships. Karen would talk for hours about her Motor Maid fun and adventure. No matter where she would be, a Motor Maid sister would be nearby to help.
Karen was our matriarch. She was our badass matriarch!
Favorite colors: blue
Sign: Virgo
Sports: WNBA: OSU
Animal: Cats, Mister, Sophia, & Daisy

Need a hug? An I Love You? Karen was your girl!
Karen will never be defined by surviving breast cancer, AFIB, or the tragic way she passed. Instead, she will always be defined as having the time of her life.
Sparkle of kindness? Oh yes! A true meaning of love, joy, and patience? Oh yes!
Any stories you would like to share with us? Please do we want to hear them.
Romans 8:18
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Our Lord chose Sunday morning, September 28, 2025, to introduce Karen to her new body, a new motorcycle, and a new roadmap to ride the streets of gold.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Mary Mahaffey, sisters, Aletha Mahaffey, and Doris Cole
She is survived by her brother Kenneth Mahaffey, nieces, Deborah Kellam, Dawnella Hudec, Deanna Stolzenberger, nephews Gale McCort, Jr., Dan Cole, Derek Cole, and friend Elizabeth Johnston, and many more family and friends.
One last thing: she loved cheesecake. Especially her mother's cheesecake.
