Karen Greenwood Richins, 79, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away December 12, 2019. She was born April 18, 1940, in Murray, Salt Lake County, Utah. She was born to Thomas Foster Greenwood, Jr. and Uarda Gillespie. Karen was sealed to George V. Richins in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 23, 1960, for time and all eternity. Karen was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Having served in teaching and executive positions in stake and ward auxiliaries, including Stake and Ward Relief Society President, and Ward Primary President. She fulfilled two full-time missions with her husband, in Washington D.C. South Mission and the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission. She served in the Oklahoma City Temple with her husband for 10 years.
She is survived by her husband, George Richins; son, Michael Hunter Richins (wife Margaret) Abilene, TX; son, David George Richins (wife Carolyn) Joplin, MO; daughter, Jennifer Pratt (husband Darris) Oklahoma City, OK; son, Stephen Lynn Richins (wife Donna) Rigby, ID; daughter, Susan Fullmer (husband Shawn) Pocatello, ID; daughter, Annette Burkhart (husband Ken) Tulsa, OK; son, Aaron Foster Richins (wife Bobbi) Tulsa, OK; son, Matthew Balfour Richins (wife Elizabeth) Joplin, MO; son, George Vernon Richins Jr. (wife Rebecca) Skiatook, OK; sister, Ann Andreason (husband Carl) Midvale, UT; brother, Thomas F. Greenwood III (wife Pat) Sandy, UT; sister, Gayle Waldron (husband Gary) Lehi, UT; 35 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be 5-7 PM, Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. Memorial service will be 1:00 P.M., Monday, December 16, 2019 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, 3640 S. New Haven, Tulsa, OK.
