Karen M. (Stoner) Rudolph. July 1, 1953 - February 20, 2024.
Karen Rudolph, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend; passed away on February 20th at the age of 70. Born July 1, 1953 to Lois (Larson) and Donald Stoner of Long Beach, California; she was recognized from a young age for her talent in music as well as her excellence in academia. After graduating with an academic scholarship to Pepperdine University, Karen worked many years as a skillful accountant to many hospitals and medical centers throughout the country. She was especially proud of her accomplishments in finding new revenue streams toward non-profit health care initiatives. In her later years, she received an MBA; and derived great purpose in her work with the American Cancer Society.
Marrying the love her of her life, Gary C. Rudolph, in 1982; they went on to grow a family comprised of their sons Erik, John and Jeff; and daughter Jenny. Before Gary's untimely death to cancer in 1994, they moved to Tulsa for Gary's own work in health care administration. It was there that Karen raised their children, and later adored becoming a grandmother.
While Karen was recognized in life for her exceptional intelligence, hard work, and great beauty; she will be remembered best for her kindness, generosity and willingness to lend a hand to all those fortunate enough to know her. Despite her struggles and tragedies in this life, she never questioned God's goodness and strove to embody the message of her faith every day. Her family and friends, most especially her children and grandchildren, will remember her best for her radiant smile, love for reading, her mischievous laugh, and indominable spirit.
Karen is survived by her three sons, Erik Rudolph, John Rudolph, Jeff Rudolph and daughter, Jenny Giovi. In addition, she is survived by her beloved brother-in-law, Eric Holk, and cherished nephews James and Jonathan Stoner-Holk. Also surviving are her daughter in love, Ashley Rudolph; and son in law, Mark Giovi; as well as her dearly loved grandchildren, Gary, Sienna and Izzy. She was preceded in death by husband, Gary Rudolph; twin sister Sharen Stoner, as well as her mother Lois and father Donald. Following a private burial, a memorial for Karen will take place on March 16th at 1pm at The Kirk of the Hills in Tulsa, to which she was a member for many years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society.
