Services for Karl L. Phillips, 54, assistant security director for Zale's Jewelry, are scheduled at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, 1975, at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum.
Mr. Phillips died Monday, April 28, 1975, of a gunshot wound, at his residence in Tulsa, OK. Phillips' widow, Doris, said her husband had been ill with cancer, since February, and had been bedfast, recently.
Mr. Phillips was employed by the Zale's Corp. of Dallas, TX, and was in charge of investigating thefts and giving polygraph tests to prospective employees in Oklahoma, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, South Dakota, and Minnesota.
A native of Watsonville, CA, he came here in 1963 from Germany, after 20 years of Army duty. He was a member of Oklahoma and American Polygraph Associations.
Surviving, in addition to his widow, Doris (Shaw) Phillips, are a daughter, Susan Diane of the home; his mother, Mrs. Helen Alvis, and a brother, Patrick Phillips, both of Modesto, CA; another brother, Rupert Phillips of Antioch, CA, and a sister, Mrs. Barbara LeBabera of Los Gatos, CA.
