Karlee Patrice Smith, 34, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025 in Broken Arrow, OK. Karlee was born in Tulsa, OK on August 6, 1991 to Kelley L. Haynie and Trent Bruton. She lived in Oklahoma her whole life.
Karlee was always adventurous as a little girl who never met a stranger. One Halloween when she was three while trick or treating, she surprised a couple by walking into their house after seeing the Wizard of Oz on their TV proclaiming "That's the mean ole bitch!" The Lion King was her favorite movie as a child having her entire room decorated with that theme and insisting on carrying around her stuffed Simba everywhere.
A lover of the outdoors from an early age, Karlee took every opportunity she could to spend time outside. She loved everything from summers at the beach, spending time at the lake, or hanging by the pool. Growing up she found a love of softball and cheering with a competitive cheer squad which would travel to multiple states competing.
Fashion, shoes, and makeup were Karlee's favorite things which followed her throughout her life. She always kept up with all the latest trends, loving to shop for herself and those she loved ensuring everyone was always stylishly dressed. The one word Karlee hated her entire life, was "No".
Karlee adored being a big sister. When brother Brendon was born, she took care of him as if he was her own. She enjoyed practicing her growing makeup skills on little sister, Paige (and maybe Brendon at times). They all three had dance off competitions together, which she normally won (according to her).
The shining lights in Karlee's life were her kids. She was very proud and cherished each one of them, ensuring they were always the most stylishly dressed. She would take them everywhere she could. They loved spending time together at the park, zoo, carving pumpkins, ice skating, and seeing Christmas lights at Rhema.
Karlee cherished every member of her family and would do anything to love and protect them. She made friends wherever she went, who became extended family and remained close, enjoying activities and talking. She was a fierce protector of all those she loved and would fight for each of them just as she fought every day for the life she loved.
Karlee is survived by her husband Jordan Smith of Coweta, mother Kelley Haynie and stepfather Derek Haynie of Broken Arrow, grandmother Linda Self of Broken Arrow, aunt Sarah Self of Eureka, CA, brother Brendon and his wife Brittany Scaggs , sister Paige Haynie, children Kade Kolis, Boston Kolis, Easton Haynie, and Jett Smith, with many other family members.
Celebration of Life for Karlee will be from 12PM - 3PM, Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Red Baron Ranch, 21701 East 161st Street South, Coweta, Oklahoma.
