McCullough, Karol Dee, 84, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015 in Tulsa, OK. Karol was born in 1930 to Karl John and Ruth Elizabeth Klein. It was the height of the depression, in the Shirley Temple era. Her mother spent hours sewing dresses and curling her hair like Shirley.
In 1938 the family bought a home at 46th and Peoria. Her brother Karl David Klein was born that year. At that time Peoria was a two lane street with drainage ditches on either side.
Karol went to school in Tulsa and graduated in 1948 from Tulsa Central High School. She then moved to Washington D.C. to live with her aunt and uncle and attended George Washington University. She went there for a year then married her high school sweetheart, James L. Nightingale. They moved to Boulder City Nevada, where her first son Eric Nightingale was born. They later moved back to Tulsa where her second son Wesley Russell was born.
Her second marriage was to Frank O. McCullough. They built a home in the country, she loved animals and this gave her the opportunity to raise goats which she did for years, she even had a Llama.
After Mr. McCullough passed away she met and married Roy Morse. Preceded in death in addition to Mr. McCullough; son, Wesley Nightingale; grandson, Sam Nightingale. Survived by her loving husband, Roy; brother, Karl; son, Eric of Palmer, TX; grandchildren, Russell Nightingale of Tampa, FL and Rachell Downs of Skiatook, OK; seven great-grandchildren; two step-daughters, Sally & Suzanne. Visitation will be 12 P.M.-8 P.M., Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. A graveside service will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 1, 2015 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5111 S. Memorial Drive, Tulsa, OK. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
