Karol Sue (Miller) McKay, 62, took her final journey on October 14, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on April 1, 1956 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to George and JoAnn (Benson) Miller.
Karol graduated from Healdton High School and would move on to devote her life to serving people with mental and physical disabilities. Her passion for work was always visible to anyone who spoke with her and understood the Gatesway Foundation was more than a job to her...it was a home. Her hard work and dedication also help build and support numerous Special Olympic opportunities for those she served, building lasting memories. Karol was the epitome of how to treat others and will always be remembered for her huge heart, loving smile and a laugh that can be only described as contagious.
Karol was a proud mother of Jomora Stoll. Jomora and her husband, Nicholas Stoll gave Karol 3 grandchildren; Katelynn Moore, Marcus and Xavier Stoll whom she loved deeply. Karol was also blessed with her sister, Linda Farmer; brother, Lowell Robinson and four other siblings.
Following Karol's life passion, please make contributions in her memory to the Gatesway Foundation in lieu of flowers. It is the wish of the family to see her devotion to her clients continue with fun and bountiful opportunities. Karol was truly a wonderful woman who touched everyone in the most profound ways through her love and laughter. She will be missed dearly.
