Katherine (Katie) Tanner, 32, went to join her mother - Susan Tanner- on Wednesday October 22, 2025. She is survived by her father Keith Tanner and two brothers Daniel and David; her two children, Taylor and Lane Tanner; two aunts, Margret Wilson and Rose Farrar; and five cousins, Mindy Martinez, Michael Wilson Jr., Mark Wilson, Judy Sanner, and Jeff Farrar.

Katie, a fifth generation native Tulsan, was known for heart of generosity, love for her children, and for cooking way too much food at every family get together. She held certifications as a medical assistant. In her free time she enjoyed hanging out with friends and going to country music concerts. Additionally, she always tried to keep up her mother's traditions of making several loaves of banana bread every holiday season to give to others.

Katie was a member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma.

Katie`s viewing will be on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 from 4:00PM-8:00PM at Moore Southlawn Chapel at 9350 E 51st Street, Tulsa, OK. Her funeral will be held at The Park Church of Christ at 10600 E 96th St, Tulsa, OK on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 1:00PM. The graveside service will follow the funeral at Memorial Park Cemetery at 5111 S. Memorial Drive, Tulsa, OK.
