Kenneth Clyde
Lipe
August 25, 1956 – March 25, 2026
Kenneth Clyde Lipe, 69, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on March 25, 2026. He was born on August 25, 1956, to Carmon and Sybil Lipe in Benton, Arkansas and he grew up in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Ken was, simply put, one of the good ones. He was calm, caring, loving, moved through life with a quiet presence and was accepting and kind to everyone who crossed his path. He had a genuine curiosity about the world around him and a warmth that made everyone around him feel at ease.
Ken spent his career in restaurant and retail management, most recently giving 21 years to Walmart - where he was known as a servant leader with a strong work ethic who worked alongside his people, taught and trained with patience, and earned deep respect without ever demanding it.
Ken was a lifelong learner who loved reading US and WWII history and learning about UFOs and aliens. He was the dad who never wanted any dogs but welcomed many dogs into his home over the years where he became all the dogs' favorite human. Ken had a mischievous streak, loved making Dad Jokes and was always up for any adventure. Ken loved listening to Bailey sing and play her instruments, BBQing, playing golf and most of all, spending time with his family.
Ken's love for his family and his wife, Susan, was unmatched. Ken and Susan were married and deeply in love for 49 beautiful years, raising 2 daughters and a granddaughter. Ken is survived by his wife Susan Lipe; his daughter Angie Lipe of Cave Springs, Arkansas; his granddaughter Bailey Lipe and her fiancé Seth Bayless of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; his faithful furry companion, Cody; his grand dog, Ellie; his great-grand dogs, Kage and Toji. He was preceded in death by his daughter Jessica Lipe, his brother Larry Lipe, his nephew John Haws, his brother-in-law Tim Whillock and his parents. Ken is also survived by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Nina Lipe, Sally and Wayne Conduff, Tom and Gay Whillock and his nieces and nephews, Carrie (Rob) Gardenhire, Stephanie (David) Lansing, Christy Whillock, Joe Whillock, Ed Whillock, Michael (Shannon) Whillock and Wendy (Garry) Quam, Steve (Yvonne) Haws, Juanita Woods and many grand nieces, grand nephews and friends.
