Smothers, Kenneth Carl, 81 of Tulsa passed away Monday, January 9th, 2017. He was born July 23, 1935 in Pyatt, AR to Mack Claude and Birtie Victoria Smothers. He served in the army during the Korean Conflict. He was an insurance claims manager for Preferred Risk and a member and deacon of Memorial Drive Church of Christ. He enjoyed working with the youth at church, woodworking, golf and square dancing. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 60 years, Annie Smothers; his children, Cheryl Ann Gardner and her husband Michael of Tulsa; Sandra Kay Hunter and her husband Jim of Edmond, OK; grandchildren, Michelle Bowers and her husband Derek; Catherine Anne McCoy and her husband John; Jacob Hunter and Lucas Hunter and his wife Christine and great grandchild, Elizabeth Ann Bowers "Lizzy". He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Zelma Ott; Lloyd Smothers; Mack Smothers; J. C. Smothers; Elva Casey and Ruby McDuffy Cook.
