Kent Allen Middleton, 37, of Tulsa, passed away on May 18th, 2019. He was a 2001 graduate of Verdigris High School where he excelled in music and was a member of the marching band and award-winning jazz band. He received his bachelor's degree in psychology from NSU. And an associate degree from Tulsa Community College in the field of radiology. He worked most recently at Cancer Treatment Centers of America as an MRI technician.
Music was Kent's passion and he was a natural musician. He was a member of The Green Police, The Muddy Chucks and most recently The Whiskey Misters. He played the bass guitar, upright bass, drums, banjo, ukulele, ukujo and spoons. He was also a talented songwriter and sang vocals for the Whiskey Misters. He was married to Morgan McGehee in 2009 in Arkansas. They made their home in Tulsa and have sons Hank, 5, and Del, 2. They enjoyed weekends at Grand Lake with family and friends. Kent was a kind, gentle soul and was loved by all who knew him. He was the life of the party, known for his music and also for his amusing antics. He will be greatly missed. We will cherish his memory forever. "No longer in our life to share, but in our hearts, you're always there."
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Morgan, and sons Hank and Del; parents, Brian and Donna Middleton; sister, Renee Rust and family Corby, Madi and Clay Rust; sister-in-law, Sarah McGehee and son, Aiden McQuigg; Morgan's parents, Jim and Glynis Cook and Claude McGehee and Mary Briggs; special friends, Kellen and Angie Conrad and many dear uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday at 3:00pm at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK 74145. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hank and Del's Activities Fund at
