Kristan B. Perry, 72, died peacefully on Monday, January 7, 2019. Born December 16, 1946 in Tulsa, OK to Francis and Harold Bardsley. Kris attended Barnard Elementary then went on to graduate from Monte Cassino in Tulsa, OK. After graduation, Kris went on to attend the University of Oklahoma. After college, Kris married Nathan Perry and went on to have a son, Jeb Perry.
Nate and Kris loved to travel, play golf and to spend time with friends and family. Kris was an avid volunteer and supporter of the Tulsa community. She was a volunteer for Mayfest and could often be found on a golf cart doing her volunteer work every year downtown during the festival. Kris also enjoyed working on the Kanchi Telethon which supported the Tulsa Arts and Humanities council. Kris also volunteered with the Santa House, the Children's Medical Center and the Chili Bluegrass festival, amongst many other charities and organizations. Kris also served as a Board Member of the Olympia Condo Association.
Kris was an avid golfer and longtime member of Tulsa Country Club, where she also enjoyed playing bridge with friends. Of her many accomplishments, she was particularly proud of her Hole in One on the 17th hole at TCC. An accomplished painter and artist, Kris loved to paint landscapes and portraits. During the winter months, Kris was known to make incredible snow sculptures which would be on display outside their Maple Ridge home.
She was most proud of her son, Jeb Perry. They shared a love of golf, travel and all things family. In 2011, she traveled to Pawley's Island, SC to witness the marriage of her son, Jeb, to his wife, Holly Perry, instantly gaining 3 grandchildren and 2 grand-puppies.
Kris loved spending time with her friends. Every Saturday, she could be found with her Breakfast Club, a group of lifelong friends who got together over coffee and BBD breakfast. Kris is best remembered for being a caring and compassionate, loving and thoughtful mother, wife, grandmother, daughter-in-law, aunt and friend.
May her legacy be that her love and passion for life, people, animals and art, dwell in all of us as we continue on this earth. Kris is survived by her son, Jeb Perry, and his wife, Holly Perry of Tulsa, OK; mother- in-law, Eva Perry, of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Brody, Chloe and Kate Tunnell of Tulsa, OK; niece, Lisa Daniels of Tulsa, OK; niece, Cindy Elliott of Tulsa, OK; grand puppy, Jackson; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Perry; her parents, Francis and Harold Bardsley; her brother, Mark Bardsley and her sister-in-law, Sandy Bardsley.
Viewing to be held at Moore's Rosewood, 2570 S. Harvard Ave., Tulsa, OK on Friday, January 11th, from 5pm to 7pm. Service to be held at Ranch Acres Baptist Church on Saturday, January 12th at 12 noon.
