Obituary

Louise Sohl was born January 8, 1929 in Exeter, MO to William Randolph Edens and Mary Lucille Thomas Edens. She died on September 12, 2022 in Tulsa, OK.
She worked as a draftsman after graduating from Webster High School. She met the love of her life, John Bob Sohl and they were soon married. They had two boys, John Randolph Sohl of Mounds, OK and Jimmy Wayne Sohl of Jenks, OK. Being a wife and mother was her greatest pride and passion. Louise was a talented artist and loved creating whether it was ceramics, dimensional glass, chalks or oils. She loved teaching others to find beauty and passion in art and taught ceramics at Henthorne Park in Tulsa for many years. She also taught ceramics class from a garage building to anyone who wanted to attend.
Her creativity did not stop at painting. She was also an accomplished seamstress. While she loved shopping, she made most of her own clothing simply because she enjoyed creating her own clothing. Her boys tell stories about how if she needed a pair of pants to wear on Sunday mornings and did not have the color she wanted she could have a pair made and be on her way out the door before most people were out of bed.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, sister Betty Jo Smith and her husband of 33 years, John Bob Sohl. Louise is survived by her two sons and their wives, John Randolph Sohl and Lacrisha Sohl of Mounds, OK and Jimmy Sohl and Jennifer Sohl of Jenks, OK. She had four grandchildren, Marla Hope and husband Wendell Hope, Kirk Sohl and wife Jennifer Grimes Sohl, Justin Sohl and Morgan Sohl. Louise also had three great-grandchildren Charlotte Hope, Karmen Sohl and Ayla Sohl. She has her first great-grandson on the way very soon and was excited when she heard Carter Bishop Hope is on his way.
A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, OK on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 10:00 am.
