OWENS, Lanette, 92, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 in Tulsa, OK. Born January 15, 1924 in Perry, OK to Gailard Thomas and Kathryn (Ogle) Webber.

Lanette was a legal secretary for Humble Oil Company in Houston and Tyler, TX. Later she was an independent oil producer. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was very active in her church circle where she was involved in a Sunday School Class and the Guild of Intercessory. Member of P.E.O. and active in the Tulsa Opera Guild.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Owens. Survived by daughter, Cathy Akin of Tulsa, OK; step-daughters, Caroline Crain of Tulsa, OK and Margaret (Mikel) Dunham of Santa Monica, CA; grandson, Don (Virginia Reeves) Akin, III of Owasso, OK; daughter-in-law, Sherry Owens of Tulsa, OK; six other grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands or Meals On Wheels.

Visitation will be 3-7 PM, Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. Service will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church-Tulsa, 709 S.
