Obituary

Larl Clinton "Bub" Shaw, 94, of Tulsa, OK, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022. He was born Friday, January 14, 1927, in St. Louis, MO, to William B. Shaw and China Mahrie (Steward) Shaw.

Shaw was proud to have served as a Technician Fourth Grade with the 80th Medical Group in the United States Army in World War II, where he earned the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and Army of Occupation Medal. He retired as a General Foreman for the United States Postal Service after 32 years.

Shaw was married to the love of his life, Madge Mazelle (Wilson) Shaw, for 62 years, until her passing on Sunday, August 2, 2009, and they were members of the former Sheridan Road Baptist Church. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a Christian man with a loving, kind, honest, compassionate and humble heart. He enjoyed T. U. basketball and football, fishing, and bowling. He was a Little League coach for many years, and he and Madge enjoyed square dancing.

Shaw is survived by his children, Steven Shaw and wife, Marilyn J., Randall C. Shaw and wife, Linda, Cynthia Burris and husband, Bennie, and Gregory D. Shaw; 7 grandchildren, Amy Frost and wife, Rebecca Holman, Christy House and husband, Dale, B., Michelle Burris, Bennie Joe Burris Jr., Robert Shaw and wife, Kori, Ryan Shaw and wife, Natalie, and Eryn Carlisle and husband, Brad; a host of great-grandchildren, Erika Joyce Mathis, Austin Thomas Shaw, McKayla Mazelle Shaw, Isaac Harrison House, Caitlyn Dawn House, Ethan Edward Hayman (great son-in-law), Sara Leslie (House) Hayman, Shadrack Temidayo Ayodeji Ibinola (great son-in-law), Megan Hailey Ibinola, James L. Blake III, Zachary Lewis Blake, Malayah Caldwell, Maria Burris, Asia Burris, Bennie Joe Burris III, Jamario Burris, Elliot Lauryl Frost, Colton Ryan Shaw, Harley Rheanne Shaw, Leo Hudson Carlisle, Thea Grey Carlisle; great-great-grandchildren, Leighton Marie Hayman, and Everleigh Elaine Hayman; numerous nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Madge Shaw; and sisters, Billie Shaw, and Susie (Shaw) Landress.
