Obituary
Laura Ruth Horton, 96, Tulsa resident, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, at her home. She was born on Tuesday, December 1, 1925, to Milton and Bessie Moore in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Laura was a hairdresser and a member of Belview Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and giving Bobby a hard time. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Chester Parker Horton, eight siblings and three grandchildren. Laura is survived by her two sons, Loyd Gary Horton, wife Kathy of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Chester Leon Horton, wife Phillis of Rock Hill, South Carolina, two daughters, Laura Evan McKendry, husband Ed of Sayre, Oklahoma and Glenda Wallen, husband Bobby of Tulsa, Oklahoma, three sisters, Cora, Dorothy and Virginia, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Memorial Service: 10:30 AM Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Belview Baptist Church, 1040 North Yale Ave. Tulsa, Oklahoma.
