Obituary

Brown, Laurine Ruth Hoppe (Brown) left this world peacefully on Easter Sunday March 27, 2016 with family by her side. She was born to Lydia Schonhorst (Hoppe) and John David Hoppe on April 8th, 1923 in Ankeny, Iowa. She was raised on a farm in Iowa. She attended Iowa State College (now Iowa State University) and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Home economics.

She married Benjamin Cadwell Brown June 22, 1946 in Alleman, Iowa. They had 4 children, Amy Brown Adams, Wendy Brown Linder, Naomi Brown Ingrim and Dorie Brown D'Amore. They had 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Molly Adams, Darcy Adams Maelzer, Daniel Adams, Emily Linder, Kari Linder Herrington, Eric Linder, Joel Ingrim, Nathan Ingrim, and Brooklyn Maelzer.

Laurine worked as a chemist for DuPont. She later worked as a Parliamentarian and she was an active volunteer in the church. She attended Presbyterian Church of the Cross, for many years in Omaha, NE and later attended John Knox Presbyterian in Tulsa, OK.

A Memorial service will be held April 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center Street, Omaha, NE, 68106.
