Obituary

Lavena Faye (Monger) McRee Hamilton Waid, 88, of Owasso, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021. She was born October 31, 1933, in Pawhuska, OK, to Floyd and Ruby Monger. Lavena had worked as a dental hygienist and was a member of First Methodist Church of Owasso and Kappa Alpha Theta at OCU. She enjoyed traveling and was an extremely talented musician and thoroughly enjoyed teaching and playing piano. She had also played a private recital at OCU and played for many churches in the Tulsa area. Lavena is survived by her children, Clay McRee and his wife Lee Ann of Owasso, Mitch McRee and wife Stephanie of Tulsa, Deena Hamilton of Owasso, Sheridan Hamilton of CA and Keith Hamilton of Owasso; grandchild, Taylor McRee; three great-grandchildren; and her brother, O'Dell Monger . She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Chesley McRee; her second husband, Dee Hamilton; her third husband, Jack Waid; and her brother, Doyle Monger and her cat Rachel.
