LaVeta Jantz was born August 11, 1934 to Ernest Frank and Edith Hartman in Moundridge, KS. She graduated as a Moundridge Wildcat in 1952 as Class President and an Honors Student. She married Harold Jantz of Galva, KS the same year on October 11, 1952. He went into the Army so she became a military wife. They later settled in Newton, KS then later Blackwell, OK.

She enjoyed professional sewing, being at Silver Dollar City, learning computers, and family. LaVeta and Harold were together 62 years including dating. He preceded her in death in February 2017.

Her family left includes her son, Doug; her granddaughter, Alexis Jantz; and 2 great-grandchildren, all of Tulsa, OK.
