Leah Rebekah Johns was born on July 26, 1976 and died April 7, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma from leukemia. She attended Union Public Schools. Leah graduated from East Central University with a Bachelor of Arts in Deaf Services. She was employed by Miss Helen's Private School as a teacher's assistant and attended Boston Avenue United Methodist Church.

Leah was a kind and gentle person with a servant's heart, having worked with children at day schools and childcare centers in Tulsa and the Oklahoma City area. You could often find her at her favorite volunteer spot, Street Cats, where she worked diligently to ensure that kitties needing a home received pats and special attention. She faced many challenges throughout her life and took each one on with a brave heart. Many thanks to the friends, coworkers, health care providers and clergy who helped along the way.

Leah was preceded in death by her parents, Colette and Donald Johns. She is survived by family D'Anne, Scott, Mary, Ellie and Jack Stites, Sara and Case Donovan, Sarajane and Bill Senger, Connor, Paige and Marley McCune, Abby McCune, Betty Jo DeBock, a host of cousins and her beloved cat, Tux.

A life celebration will be held at Boston Avenue United Methodist Church on April 24, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
