Known affectionately as Joye, she passed Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Clarehouse, Tulsa, OK after a lengthy illness.
Joye, age 86, was born December 12, 1930 in Snowmac, Seminole County, OK to Ben and Janie Langley.
She graduated from Cleveland High School, Cleveland, OK in 1950.
Joye married James L. Devin March 5, 1950 in Cleveland, OK.
James and Joye recently celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary. Joye chose being a wife, mother and homemaker as her life's vocation.
She exercised her creativity through sewing, crocheting and dabbling in painting. Joye enjoyed baking and cooking for her family, sometimes experimenting with recipes. She loved classic movies and was happy to share a seat. Her wonderful sense of humor was priceless as it was shared around the family kitchen table.
Joye loved fishing and bird watching with her husband, children, and grandchildren when she had the chance, at their Lake Hudson property.
Always there with a loving heart and guiding hands, she will be forever missed and loved by all who knew her.
Preceded in death were her parents and two brothers, Tom and Dan Langley.
She is survived by her husband, James; her 4 children, three daughters: Renee and husband Steve King of Tulsa, OK, Gay and husband Ray Nicholau of Rapid City, SD, Janie and husband Russell Durfee of Tulsa, OK; one son Lyndan and wife Mary Devin of Hobbs, NM; six grandchildren, Neva, Misty, Travis, Tasha, T.J. and Meagan; and ten great grandchildren; sixteen nieces and nephews.
