Obituary

Leda Gale Diedrich, age 75, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, entered peacefully into eternal life on July 17, 2026. Born on March 25, 1951, Leda lived a life marked by humility, devotion, and quiet strength - a life shaped by faith, family, and a deep love for music.

Leda was the beloved mother of Stephanie Staton, cherished mother-in-law of Michael Staton, and proud grandmother to their two sons: Sawyer Staton (11) and Oliver Staton (10). She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Paul Diedrich II, who passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 1998. Leda was an only child and carried her family's legacy with grace and dignity.

Leda converted to Roman Catholicism after Richard's death and that faith was the steady rhythm of her life. She worked for 2 decades at St. John's Hospital as a medical coder before answering a deeper calling - one that blended her love for God with her love for music. In 2016, she became the Choir Director at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, where her gentle leadership and musical gifts enriched the worship life of the parish.

Leda's service extended far beyond music. She was a dedicated volunteer with the St. Thomas More Food Pantry, a faithful participant in the First Saturday Devotion, and an Oblate of St. Benedict affiliated with St. Joseph Monastery in Tulsa. Her Benedictine spirit - rooted in prayer, humility, and hospitality - shaped the way she lived and loved.

Those who knew Leda will remember her as humble, modest, dedicated, helpful, and deeply musically inclined. She carried herself with quiet grace, offering kindness without fanfare and service without seeking recognition. Her life was a gentle witness to the beauty of faith lived simply and sincerely.

Viewing will be at Moore Funeral Home Southlawn, 9350 E 51st St, Tulsa OK on Sunday, 7/26, from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m.. Funeral mass will be at St Thomas More Catholic Church, 2720 S 129th E Ave, Tulsa OK on Monday, 7/27, at 11:00 am.

Leda's family invites friends, parishioners, and loved ones to honor her memory by reflecting on the ways she touched their lives and by continuing the spirit of service she embodied so naturally.

May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
