Lee Roy Eller, 95, of Tulsa, died Friday, February 7, 2014.
He was born to the late Alfred and Della Eller, September 15, 1918, in Tahlequah, OK and grew to be an exemplary man in all facets of life, God, family, country and career.
Lee entered into the United States Armed Forces December 23, 1942. He married the late Helen Eller July 12, 1941 and they lived together in Tulsa, OK, before relocating to Skiatook in 1978. He was the father of three children: Johnny Lee Eller, Roger Steven Eller and Debra Kaye Eller
Lee served as an US Military Officer in the Army during World War II. He was a decorated with a several Bronze Stars, promoted to Lieutenant, and was the Company Commander in Engineering. He was awarded a certificate for Outstanding Service and Loyalty to the United States of America by the Congress of the United States. Upon returning from the war in 1946, he became a businessman in Tulsa Ok, entering the auto sales for 50 years and owned multiple car dealerships. He became a successful Land developer and later became President of LeeCo Oil Company, and served on the The Tulsa County Board of Commissioners.
Lee was President of the Full Gospel Business Men's Tulsa Chapter, served on the Board of Kenneth E. Hagin Evangelistic Association, a founding member of the Board of Directors for Rhema Bible Church in Broken Arrow, OK. He was a frequent special guest speaker in local churches, seminars and crusades. He earned numerous awards in sales in Real Estate and as a Land Developer throughout Oklahoma.
Lee is survived by one child: Debbie (Eller) Rhatigan of Skiatook, OK.
He also is survived by eight grandchildren: Johnny Lee Eller, Bobby Lee Eller, April Lee (Eller) Garrett, Todd Anthony Eller, Sherry Whitlow, Stephanie Dawn (Rhatigan) Smith, Shailee Marie (Rhatigan) Patton, Thomas John (TJ) Rhatigan and many great-grandchildren. After the decease of Helen Eller, Lee later remarried to life long family friend, Joan (Long) Eller adding step-daughter, Tonja (Long) Canon and grandchildren: Grant Canon, Kaylie Canon, London Canon, and Winston Canon.
Predeceased by: Sister Gladys (Eller) Martin, Brothers Everett Eller, James (Pat) Eller and John Eller. Sons Johnny Lee Eller and Roger Steven Eller.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to Rhema Bible Church memorial fund for Lee Eller to be designated for the special needs children Sunday school class. A viewing will be held at Family visitation Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 6-8pm at Moore Funeral Home Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st Street, Tulsa, OK. Service will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 10:00am at Rhema Bible Church in the Chapel at 1025 West Kenosha Street, Broken Arrow, OK.. Burial will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Feb 12th at Moores South Lawn in Tulsa.
