Lawrence "Lee" Moore departed from this earth and into Heaven on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 with his loved ones at his side and in the comforting care of Porta Caeli House. Lee was born on August 16th, 1938 in Hanoverton, Ohio. He left his hometown at 17 years of age to join the United States Navy. During his 30-year Naval career he met the love of his life and raised two daughters. After his retirement from the Navy he settled in Tulsa, Oklahoma and joined First Baptist Church of Tulsa, where he was a member for over 40 years. He lived his faith in Christ through his acts of Charity and volunteerism.
An avid golfer Lee prided himself, not only, in his ability to play the game, but also in his love of teaching it.
Throughout his life Lee has had many roles, and accolades- that of Petty Officer 1st Class, Deacon, Brother Mason; however, the role of husband, father and head of family was the role that offered him his greatest sense of duty and pride. The strength of his love endures and carries on in them.
Lee is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Carol Moore, two daughters and a son in law- Terry Moore, Debbye and Mark Holmes, a grandson and his wife- David and Melissa Francis, as well as countless friends whom have known him throughout his life and enjoyed his caring heart and courageous spirit.
