Lee Carnes Stewart, 96, formerly of Tulsa, OK, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on January 29, 2024, at her residence in China Spring, TX. She was born December 12, 1927 in Jones, OK, to John Newton and Nora Ellen Little.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Walter Carnes, and husband of 20 years, Glen Stewart, and son, John Carnes.
Lee is survived by daughter Judy (Larry) Hull of China Spring, TX and daughter-in-law Nancy Carnes of Broken Arrow, OK; granddaughters, Melissa (Joey) Bodnar and Leslie (Scot) Moore; great grandsons, Jacob (Rachel) Bodnar and Logan Bodnar, all of China Spring, TX. Also, Glen's family, daughter, Becky (Jerry) Burns and son, Dave (Carla) Stewart; three granddaughters; two grandsons and four great grandchildren.
She retired from Tulsa County as a Court Clerk and was a long-time member of Will Rogers Methodist Church, member of Buckaroo Square Club and volunteer for RSVP and Meals on Wheels for many years.
