Lelen Arthur Jarman
Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away on December 9, 2023. He was born October 28, 1951 in Ogden, Utah to Arthur Francis and Velda Wardle Jarman. He attended Weber State College and graduated with a B.A. in Microbiology and Spanish in 1976. He served a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Southern Mexico which turned into a life long love of the Spanish language and the People. He married Mina Jean Cherry on July 11, 1975 in the Ogden LDS Temple.
He was an honorable and trustworthy man devoted to his family leaving behind memories of Saturday morning cartoons and pancake breakfasts. At home he did much of the holiday baking; best known for his Christmas cake. Family and friends loved his 'punny' dry humor and his extensive knowledge of trivia. His happy place was the yard and garden.
He loved the Lord and had a personal relationship with his Savior. He spent many years with his four sons working in the Scouting program of the Church. He also devoted himself to missionary work serving as a mission leader while living in Louisiana, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. Most recently he spent time finding his ancestors through Genealogy.
