Reflections of His Life
Leo Evans was born on November 17, 1925, in Beggs, Oklahoma and was the youngest son of Hugh Evans and Lizzie Wilson. He was blessed to meet the love of his life Eddie Record. They married on January 5 and were married for over 50 years. He worked for over 50 years as a butler for various families located in the Tulsa Community. Upon the death of his wife he moved to Seagoville, Texas to live with his son in 2014. He enjoyed watching various church programs on television. He enjoyed the country air and getting his exercise by picking pecans. Leo also loved talking to his grandchildren and telling them stories about himself. He liked his daily phone calls from family and friends. He also had an appreciation for all types of music.
Leo will be fondly remembered by his family and friends as a father and a man who had a lifetime of unforgettable memories.
Leo Evans Made his transition on December 25, 2018. His parents Hugh and Lizzie Evans, sisters Virginia Evans, Catherine Liggins, Hazel Worthy, and Doretha Irvin, and brothers Felix and Walter Evans preceded him in death. Two sons Leo and Oscar Wilson and one daughter Charlotte McClendon preceded him in death. Remaining to cherish his memory: children, Ralph Wilson (Brenda), of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tequilla J. Wilson, Ph. D of Houston, Texas, Ezedrick Evans (Pamela) Seagoville, Texas; two sisters Pearl Turner and Wilma Jean Perry of Beggs, Oklahoma. Along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Viewing will be 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 4th at Moore's Memory Chapel 1403 S. Peoria Ave. Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5th at Morning Star Baptist Church 1014 E. Pine St. Tulsa, Oklahoma.
