Leroy (Lee) Gale Hooker, 60, of Tulsa, passed away Friday, September 27, 2013. He was born and raised in Tulsa. He was the son of the late Lavoy and Anibel Hooker. He was a 1971 graduate of Nathan Hale High School, and OSU.
He worked at Black & Veatch in Kansas City where he met his future wife, Janie Sallee. In 1981, they returned to Tulsa, where Lee took a job with C.E. NATCO. Currently, he was working for Thermal Company, as a Sales Engineer. Lee is survived by his wife, Janie, of the home; daughter, Lizzie, Tulsa;
Sisters, Betty (Ted) Martin, Keller, TX and Linda (Charles) Walker, Mesquite, TX; brothers-in-law, Larry (Donna) Sallee, Ft. Worth, TX, and David (Kathy) Sallee, Lenexa, KS; nephews, Brent Walker, Shawn Sallee; nieces, Shannon Price, Misha Cobbins, Leslie Kelley, and Jean Potter.
Lee was a very loving, generous and kind husband, father, and friend. He enjoyed the fine art of storytelling, and found the extraordinary in the ordinary. Lee also had an off-beat sense of humor, as do most of the people he called friends. Family and friends were impressed with his wealth of ?useless knowledge?. Lee really knew how to be a good friend.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Salvation Army, American Red Cross, or a charity of your choice.
