Obituary

Leroy was born on August 4, 1938 in Sand Springs, OK. Leroy graduated from Wild Horse High School with a graduating class of 5. His parents moved around alot - he lived in Sand Springs, Pryor, Tulsa, Sapulpa, Pawnee and then ended up in Wild Horse. At Wild Horse High School he played basketball.

After high school he went to work for National Bank of Tulsa which is where he met his precious Donna Sue. He went into the Army and was sent to Germany after bootcamp. He spent 2 years in the army then 3 years in the reserves.

Returning from the army he went to work back at National Bank of Tulsa and did night school at Tulsa University and then on to TCC to receive a degree in Computer Science and a major in Accounting.

He spent 19 years at T.D. Williamson as their date processing manager. He left there and went to work for Tulsa County as there IT Director for 23 years when he retired. After retiring he did lots of computer work for many friends and companies. He was a member of East Tulsa Christian Church and served as a deacon, elder and treasurer. He also served on many boards during his business career. After leaving East Tulsa Christian Church they became members of Cedar Ridge Christian Church.

Leroy asked Donna to marry him on February 14, 1960. They were married April 15, 1960 and celebrated 62 years of a loving marriage. They were blessed with 3 beautiful daughters - Jennifer, Lori and Stephanie. Then with 11 grandkids and 13 great grandkids. Leroy was a devoted Sooners fan and was a wonderful Christian man that loved the Lord. He treasured all the time he spent with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. He also loved all of his friends and family.

Leroy is survived by his loving wife - Donna Sue. Daughters - Jennifer & Mike Hopper, Lori & Jeff Newstrom and Stephanie & Terry Crabb. He is also survived by his brother Richard Jones. His 9 grandkids - Ryan, Jenna, Adam, Emily, Loren, Tyler, Travis, Hailey and Jacob. His 13 great grandkids - Harper, Hadley, Hannah, Kaylee, Bryson, Gavin, Henley, Addi Grace, Sutton, Rhett, Lily, Olivia and Benson.

He was preceded in death by his parents Archie & Ruby and sisters Juanita and Joyce Ann. Also his precious granddaughters Megan and Amber.

Viewing is 12pm - 8pm and visitation 5pm -7pm, Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Moore's Southlawn Funeral Home. Funeral Service is 10am, Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Cedar Ridge Christian Church, Broken Arrow.
