MANGOLD, Leroy Charles, 93, of Tulsa, OK, passed away Friday, June 12, 2015 in Tulsa, OK. He was born in Quincy, IL on December 1921, son of Frank John and Irene Lucille Dendler Mangold. He married Frances Ida Darias on September 6, 1945. She preceded him in death January 5, 2006.
He was a crew chief who flew cargo B-24's over the Burma "Hump" during WWII.
He is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Anita Mangold; three sons, Norman Roy Mangold (Raelee), Richard Darrel Mangold (Cassie) and Bryan David Mangold (Cindy), all of Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Christy Mangold, Kara Mangold, Andrew Mangold, Byran Mangold, Jr. (Crystal), Brandy Mangold, all of Oklahoma, and Darias Mangold of Missouri; two sisters, Shirley C. Otto of Texas and Bettie L. Brower of North Carolina; niece, Karen I. Benedict (Bryan) of North Carolina; two nephews, Leonard J. Brower Sr. (Sheila) of North Carolina, and Robert R. Otto (Carol) of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frank Edward Mangold. Private funeral services will be held.
