In Loving Memory of Levi James King

Levi James King took his last earthly breath on October 3, 2025, and is now peacefully resting in the arms of our Lord. Levi was born prematurely, four months before his due date, on January 13, 2025, to Jacob and Lydia King, weighing only 330 grams (11 ounces) - a tiny but mighty miracle.

Levi spent the first four months of his life at St. John's Medical Center, where he was affectionately nicknamed "Bubbles" by his amazing care team, who worked tirelessly each day to make sure he was comfortable and surrounded by love. Levi was baptized on April 18, 2025, a day filled with faith and gratitude.

On May 26, 2025, Levi was transported by helicopter to OU Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City to receive specialized care. While at OU Children's, he captured the heart of a wonderful nurse who lovingly signed up to be his primary nurse for as long as he remained in the NICU.True to his spirit, Levi continued to thrive and persevere, touching every heart that cared for him.

Throughout his brief time with us, Levi was a fighter. He was loved beyond measure and had a mother who sang softly over him. Levi's life was not lived in vain. After his passing, his body was lovingly given to LifeShare, who carefully harvested his heart valves in the hope that they may one day help save the lives of other babies in need.

Levi's name carried deep meaning. Levi means "son of Jacob." His middle name, James, honors his great-grandfather James King. His Zambian name, Makazo, means "Miracle from God." Truly, Levi was all of these things and more.

His gentle grasp, his sweet smile, and his bright dark eyes captured the hearts of everyone blessed to know him. He will forever be cherished and remembered.

At the time of his passing, Levi weighed 5,400 grams (11lbs, 14oz)- a beautiful reflection of his strength and growth during his journey.

Levi is survived by his loving parents, Jacob and Lydia King, and his proud big brother, Jeremiah King; grandparents Jeffrey and Chrisie King, and Rose Chilipamushi; great-grandparents James and Phyllis King; and a cherished family friend, Chandini Sharma. He is also loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Levi was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Christopher, Davidson, and Fridah Chilipamushi; and maternal great-grandparents Lydia and Henry Chilipamushi.

Services are held by Moore Funeral Home, and Levi will be laid to rest at Floral Haven Cemetery, free from pain and suffering, wrapped forever in love and peace.

Levi's service will be 11AM, Thursday, October 9, 2025 at First Presbyterian Church, 709 South Boston, Ave., Tulsa, Oklahoma.
