Linda Joyce Cargile, 79, of Broken Arrow, peacefully passed away in her sleep on Monday, October 21, 2024, after a courageous battle with illness. Born on December 7, 1944, in Bartlesville, OK, she was the beloved daughter of William West and Billie Jane (Rogers) West-Zimmerman.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Leroy L. Cargile. Together, they shared a loving life filled with family and cherished memories. As a dedicated homemaker, Linda took great pride in her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
Her passion for cooking brought joy to her family, as she delighted them with her famous smoked meatloaf, brown beans, and homemade chicken and noodles. Linda also loved to travel, creating lasting memories with her loved ones along the way.
In addition to Leroy, Linda is survived by her son, Michael Cargile, and his wife, Michelle; her daughter, Misty Parnell, and her husband, Terry; and her six cherished grandchildren: Randi Vandiver, Andy Vandiver, John Estess, Ryan Cargile, Justin Parnell, and Hunter Parnell. She also adored her six great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, William and Billie Jane; her son, Kenneth Cargile; her daughter, Deborah Cargile; and her brother and four sisters.
A private interment will be held, with a celebration of Linda's life to be announced at a later date. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
