Linda Jane Weston Cheatham, 74, of Broken Arrow went to heaven on Feb 14, 2018 after battling cancer. Forever our Valentine, she will be missed every day.
Jane was born on November 7th, 1943 in Joplin, MO. to Cecil and Dora Weston. After dating for a year she married her true love Tommy E. Cheatham on February 1, 1964. They recently celebrated 54 years of marriage. They raised 2 children, Stacy and Chad, whom she loved with her whole heart.
Jane attended Edison High School in Tulsa where she graduated in 1962. She was involved in many social clubs. She has many wonderful friends whom she remained close with throughout her life. She enjoyed almost weekly "lunches" with girlfriends in addition to adding new friends in her book club in more recent years.
In 1976 she began working at Robert B. Grove Elementary School, initially as a teacher's aide and then as the school receptionist. Until retiring in 2002, she always had a smile or a hug for each child that came through the door. Her "teacher friends" became our extended family. We are blessed to know how many people loved our Mom.
She loved quilting and spent many hours making sure each one was made perfectly for the lucky recipient. These are treasured gifts to each who were so lucky to receive.
She loved to travel, along with her husband, to see her grandboys in Dallas or Oklahoma City. Her favorite thing in the world was her family. Jane cherished her 5 grandboys who were perfect in every way to her. "No" was not a word that Nana used. She thought each boy was handsome and smart and told them that daily. She loved to watch each of them play their favorite sports and she was their biggest cheerleader. If she wasn't at the game, she always called or texted to see how it went. She was our perfect Nana.
She is survived by her husband Tom. Daughter Stacy Ambrose and her husband Ken of Allen, TX, as well as her son Chad Cheatham and his wife Gina of Edmond, OK. Her 5 grandboys Kennedy Ambrose 21, Jack Cheatham 15, Slader Ambrose 14, Alex Cheatham 12 and Joey Cheatham 6. Extended family includes a sister, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and so many dear friends.
The family will greet friends and family on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 pm and her funeral service will be Wednesday, February 21st at 2:00 pm at Moore's Southlawn 9350 E. 51st. Tulsa, OK. 74145. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233 share memories at
