Linda Kay McIntyre, 75, Tulsa, Oklahoma, went home to be with the Lord February 20, 2019 after a fierce battle with Lewy-Body dementia. Linda had a beautiful life with her daughters and husband, Tom, who remained by her side until the very end.
Born March 17, 1943 in Cambridge, Massachusetts to H. Gwendolyn and Kenneth V. Kratochvil, Linda grew up in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and was a 1961 graduate of College High. She went on to The University of Oklahoma where she completed a bachelor's degree in art and met the love of her life, Tom. They were married May 27, 1966.
Her Christian faith was strong and leaves a lasting legacy with her family and friends. She spent many years creating banners for church events and supporting Tom's bible studies and Sunday school classes throughout her life.
Linda's devotion to her children and grandchildren came before anything else. She loved to laugh and spend time shopping with her girls. She had a great eye for design and fashion. She was also an incredibly talented artist and cherished time spent painting with friends. She showed in art shows in Corpus Christi, Taos and Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was also a member of Color Connection Gallery in Tulsa.
Her granddaughter, Gwendolyn, loved her imagination. The two of them shared many adventures and creative endeavors. Linda also loved spending time with her brother, Gary, with whom she shared a passion for music and lake life.
Linda is survived by her husband Tom, daughters Jennifer McIntyre and Jessica Gray, son-in-law Nathan Gray, granddaughter Gwendolyn McIntyre, granddaughter Jaimie Gray, grandson Zach Gray and brother Gary Kratochvil. She is preceded in death by her parents Gwen and Ken Kratochvil of Bartlesville.
