Lisa Jane (Clark) Griffith, 65, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025. She was born April 6, 1960, to John Morris Clark and Martha Jane Clark Ferrel in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The only girl in a family with five brothers, Lisa was the definition of a "tomboy" and was in her element on a ballfield. One of her proudest memories was hitting one of her signature line drives down the third base line to bring in a run, helping Union High School win their first state softball championship in 1976. She continued playing co-ed, slow pitch softball until 2023. She loved working with youths, enthusiastically coaching her daughter's softball team for 15 years and co-leading Girl Scout Troop 357. She loved all of the girls as if they were her own.
Lisa was always eager to help someone and was a consummate caretaker who loved learning and teaching. She served as the full-time caregiver for her mother-in-law, Sonoma, until she passed in 2010. Lisa then went back to school to earn her teaching degree from Northeastern State University and spent about five years in the elementary school classroom. In her spare time, she volunteered for Tulsa CASA, helped document the famous neighborhood barred owls, and enjoyed driving around in her signature red Jeep.
Lisa was happiest spending time with her husband and best friend of 41 years, Gary. They enjoyed traveling together, going to ballgames and, most importantly, sharing a meal. Together they have one daughter, Kendall, who - until the arrival of their grandson, Elliot - was her greatest source of joy.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Danny, Scott and Garry Clark. She is survived by her husband, Gary Griffith and their daughter Kendall Jane Trotter (Matt) of Tulsa; her adored grandsons Elliot Trotter and CJ Griffith; brothers Tom Clark (Ja-lene) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and John Clark (Janie) of Bossier City, Louisiana; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
