Lisa Laine Sheehan Jones, 64, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on 1/26/26. Lisa was born October 28, 1961, the daughter of Howard Sheehan and Elsa Laine Sheehan.
Lisa and her family grew up in the ice skating industry, moving far and wide during her life. Lisa was the 1973 Junior National Champion in Brisbane, Australia. Lisa graduated from Hershey High School in Pennsylvania before joining the Ice Capades. After, Lisa spent a few years in San Francisco. Lisa loved going to punk rock shows and made many lifetime friends while in her teens and twenties.
Lisa gave birth to her eldest son, Joseph Swenning in San Francisco on April 24th, 1984. In 1987, Lisa and Joseph moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to join her mother Elsa. Lisa married Jeffery Jones on October 29th, 1995 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. On April 19th, 1996, she gave birth to her daughter Chelsea Jones. Lisa spent the last ten years of her life with her best friend and companion, Doyle Wright, and his daughter, Josee.
Lisa spent many years as a figure skating coach and leaves behind a legacy of students that cherish the early morning lessons and love they received. After leaving figure skating, Lisa made a significant name for herself in the culinary community of Tulsa, notably working at Rick's Cafe Americain, the Renaissance Hotel, the Hotel Indigo, and the last eight years St. Mary's Catholic School as their Food Director. Lisa was very proud of her accomplishments in her career and loved passing her culinary prowess on to her family, friends, and students in the school. She loved her time at St. Mary's and was honored to serve the students home-cooked meals made with love.
Lisa was known for living life to its fullest and having a wild and fun spirit. Lisa loved her people and communities deeply, and enjoyed helping people however she was able to. Lisa will be remembered for her kindness and loving disposition.
Lisa is survived by: her mother, Elsa Swenning; her sisters, Dani Sheehan-Meyer and Shauna Cagnoni; her brother, Richard Swenning; her sons, Adam Jones and Joseph Swenning; her daughter, Chelsea Campbell; her best friend, Doyle Wright, and his daughter, Josee; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters in law, daughters and son in law, and her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her father, Howard Sheehan, her stepfather Richard Swenning, and her husband Jeffrey Jones.
